Why see a Rheumatologist?
Rheumatologists have expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of Rheumatic conditions. There are over 200 different types of arthritis. Maybe you are dealing with new symptoms and are looking for a diagnosis. Perhaps you already have a diagnosis but are experiencing new symptoms, or a flare-up, and need a change in treatment.

I have been practising as a Consultant Rheumatologist in Bristol since 2006. I have a broad range of expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of rheumatological and autoimmune conditions. From 2014 to 2020 I was Clinical Lead for Rheumatology at my hospital, overseeing significant expansion and development of the department, and obtaining a Best Practice Award from the British Society for Rheumatology.
